I recently encountered a freelance platform called Constant Content that claims it can bring together writers and people looking for content online.

You may have visited their website and you want to know if you can really earn a decent income online from this platform.

Well, you’ve come to the right place because, in this Constant Content review, I will share with you all the details about this content platform.

Basically, Constant Content is a platform where you can both buy content if you have a website or where you can seel content if you are a writer.

The focus of this review is, however, to showcase the earning potential of this platform and the opportunities it can provide you if you are a content writer no matter where in the world you are from.

It is a freelance writer’s platform where you can sell your articles to content searching people and companies.

This platform is also known to pay competitive rates and they are one of the higher paying content sites out there if you are a writer.

In fact, a 500-word article can be sold for $50 (which means that Constant Content will get a cut of 35% of your earnings). Contrary to Textbroker, which you could get as little as $3 for the same length.

However, you just need to be aware of the cut they are taking as it is quite high so you will obviously not get all the money yourself.

On Constant Content, you’ll have several options for earning and these will include the following:

• Responding to content request
• Being part of a pool of writers
• Submitting your articles to your catalog

You’ll also need to be a good researcher since you’ll be doing a lot of it to create valuable and high-quality content for your client.

Honestly, this can be a good platform to make money online, but you need to understand that this is NOT for everybody, especially if you’re still a newbie content writer.

I would suggest that you start with Textbroker before joining this platform because they are definitely looking for intermediate to advanced content writers that can produce top quality content for their clients.

How do you qualify to become a writer?

Basically, Constant Content is free to join, and you’ll need to be at least 18 years old, have access to a computer with an internet connection, and have a strong command of written English.

In order to qualify, all applicants have to prove their skills by writing a short piece on a given subject.

Before taking the test, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with their writing guidelines and rules for using commas and semicolons.

There’s a steep requirement for getting in and based on my research, 80% of applicants are rejected every month.

However, you can finish the test on your own pace, since there is no set deadline for it, and you’ll have the opportunity to put your piece through Grammarly to proofread it.

You’ll need to make sure your piece is error-free and must have the right tone (impersonal and informative and not with wiki-type tone).

Your structure should also adhere to their guidelines or else your piece will immediately be rejected by their test admins.

Unfortunately, Constant Content doesn’t send out emails notifying of rejection.

If you don’t get a reply within seven days, try logging in to your account, using the email address and password you provided when registering. A notification should pop up, which will tell you if your application got rejected or is still under review.

Personally, I think it would have been a nice touch if they also send an email with a notification but as long as you are aware, you just need to make sure to check for yourself.

How do you earn from this platform?

There are several ways to earn from Constant Content, but the most popular one is catalog submission, where you can write on almost any subject and you can put your article in your own catalog.

Anyone can check your catalog and if they like your articles there, they can buy it directly which is quite convenient.

Your catalog is a portfolio of work from which clients can buy pre-written content. Each article has a short summary and a long summary, which is an excerpt of the whole article.

Keywords are important in customers’ searches on the site. Put in keywords that reflect the content and could be used to search for this topic.

At the bottom of the submission form, you’ll also find two options – ‘Best Offer’ and ‘Discount Offer’.

The first one enables the client to negotiate a lower price. The second one enables the CC platform to offer discounts of up to 25% on content that sits on the site for more than six months.

If your article is rejected, you will receive suggestions to correct it and resubmit. These instructions can be general or specific. Editors sometimes tell you exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it.

Only in rare cases do the editors ask you not to resubmit the article. This means that the article is substandard or violates the site’s rules.

Remember that failing to follow the editors’ instructions repeatedly can get you banned from the site.

Also, the CC platform will get a 35% cut from your earnings so you need to take this into consideration if you plan to apply to become a writer on this platform.

Constant Content is known for its strict quality guidelines. This is the main reason why they can set higher prices than similar platforms.

Therefore, if you break the quality rules persistently and show no signs of improvement, you could get banned from the site.

That is why it’s essential to familiarize yourself with basic grammar rules, implement the editors’ revisions, and proofread your articles thoroughly, so you can provide top quality content.

Sometimes, the editors point out stylistic mistakes in your articles, so you’ll need to double-check your work before submitting it.

Some people complain about it, but I think it can be a great way to improve your writing and become even better – no matter how good writers we are, we can always learn and improve and you have the chance to do that with the feedback if you get any.

Be aware that first-person narration is frowned upon on Constant Content. You can’t include any personal experience unless instructed otherwise by the customer.

However, if you think you still need to develop your writing skill or you just started your career as a content writer, then this might not be the platform for you.

You can try other freelancing sites like Textbroker, but you can expect to earn a lot less from that platform, but at least you can gain some experience there before going to Constant Content.
