Ouo.io is a website that claims you can start earning just by shortening links and sharing them.

In fact, it even claims you can make big money so it might seem very appealing at first.

But is Ouo.io a scam or is it really a legit way to make money online?

I have joined to take a closer look and test exactly what it offers.

This ouo.io review will give you an inside look and show you all the details you are not usually told so you know exactly what to expect if you decide to join.

What is Ouo.io and what does it offer?

There are quite a lot of websites that offer you to earn by shortening links online. Ouo.io is one of these sites.

When I first started looking into this platform, I was surprised how little information I could find. A lot of the reviews I could find seemed like they were mostly interested in selling the idea to you to earn commissions.

So I tested it myself and quickly found out that there were a lot of details left out in most reviews. So I decided to write this one so you can see what you really need to consider before joining.

Let me just make it clear right away that you can actually make money on Ouo.io – but that does not necessarily mean it is a good use of time and there are some important details you need to think about before investing your time.

So let’s start by going over how it works before getting to the true income potential of the site.

Option 1 – Earn by shortening links

The main thing ouo.io offers is that you can simply shorten a link and then get paid to share it.

It is quick to do and free to sign up.

After you join, you just simply take a URL and paste it and with the click of a button, it is shortened.

This might seem like an easy way to make money at first but there are some important details you need to understand.

First of all, you will not earn just by shortening the link on Ouo.io. You can earn by sharing the link online.

When people then click the link you have shared, they will be taken to an ad page before they get to the destination URL.

This is how you can earn. Advertisers will pay to be visible on the ad page you send people to and you will get a cut of this.

So the more people you send, the more money you will make (later I will explain the details about how much you can earn).

The concept is very simple as you can see and it is possible to earn like this.

However, there are some details that make it less appealing, in my opinion, and I will explain all about this later in this review.

Let’s first go over the second way you can earn on Ouo.io.

Option 2 – Invite others to join Ouo.io

There is one more way you can earn on Ouo.io.

That is by inviting other people to join and use the platform.

After you join, you will get a referral link you can share with others. If they join through that link, you will earn a commission.

You will earn 20% of whatever any referral you have earns on ouo.io. They will earn the same and this percentage will be paid by ouo.io.

This can be a way to earn more passively and this is one of the reasons you will see a lot of reviews just trying to convince you it is a great platform to join (through their link) without telling you some important details.

Let me just make it clear that it definitely can be a way to earn if you know a lot of people you can invite.

But to see exactly how much you can earn from this, we need to look into the general earning potential of ouo.io.

How much money can you make on Ouo.io?

As mentioned earlier, the more traffic you send to your links you have shortened with Ouo.io, the more you will earn.

According to the platform itself, you can earn big money this way.

That sounds promising but I would say it really depends on how you define “big money” whether Ouo.io can live up to this or not.

How much you earn will depend on the traffic you send – most importantly what country the traffic is from.

The highest paying is traffic from Australia, where you will get $5 per 1,000 visitor. You can see examples of other payout rates below.

According to Ouo.io, they give the best rates. But be very skeptical about this claim.

I have tested quite a lot of similar platforms and they all claim to have the highest rates. In my experience, that rates on Ouo.io are, however, not the highest.

There are, for example, platforms like Smoner and ShrinkEarn that for some countries pay higher. But which platform is best to use does depend a lot on the countries you are planning to send traffic from.

However, be aware that the earnings are per 1,000 visitors you send. That is a lot of visitors.

In the lowest paying countries you will only get $1.5 for sending 1,000 visits.

If you have not worked with traffic generation before it might seem easy. But I can tell you that generating this type of traffic is not easy.

And you need A LOT of traffic to earn any real money. And be aware the traffic you send has to be real visitors. If not, you will end up getting banned.

So there is no easy way around this and, therefore, you need to really know how to generate traffic to earn any real money. And if you know how to do this, there are ways that are more effective to earn, in my experience (more about this later)

How will you get paid?

It is, of course, also important to know how you can get your earnings out if you decide to join Ouo.io.

It actually offers some quite good options and this is the best aspect about the platform, in my opinion.

You can get your earnings out via PayPal, Payoneer, or Payeer.

The payments are sent automatically on the 1st and 15th of every month.

To get your earnings you just need to be aware that there is a threshold you need to reach. For PayPal and Payeer it is $5 and for Payoneer, it is $50.

If you do not reach that in a certain period, the earnings will continue over to the next period until you have earned enough for a payout.

Overall some pretty good payout methods and a fairly low payout threshold for some of the methods.

Is it safe and worth it?

There are especially two important aspects you need to consider before investing time on Ouo.io and these are the aspects I often think are left out when people review Ouo.io.

You need to think about how safe it is and if it will be worth the effort compared to other ways of earning online.

How safe is it?

When it comes to how safe it is I am not only talking about how safe it is for you. It is also important to consider how safe it is for people who click the links.

You are the one who has shared the links and if it is not safe for the people clicking it, they will never trust you again. This will hurt your long-term opportunities to earn.

In addition to this, you probably also do not want it to be unsafe as you know how frustrating it can be to click bad links online so you want to make sure not to do this to others.

I would say that Ouo.io is safe in the way that you will get paid. But after testing it, I must say I am very suspicious about many of the ads coming up and the way they are presented.

It is not enough for people to just click one button to continue to the destination URL when they come to the ad page.

When they click, they are taken to another page – in some cases a page that will ask them to download something.

Also, I tested it myself and tried getting to the destination URL but I just kept getting all kinds of pop-up ads and notifications.

I actually never managed to find the way to the destination URL.

This seems very spammy to me and personally I would never download anything or say yes to any notifications from these types of ads and pop-ups.

It was a terrible user-experience and very frustrating. And I even work full-time online and never managed to find the destination URL.

Can you imagine how this might then be for other people to click these links?

Personally, I would never send any visitors into this type of ad labyrinth even if I know I could make a bit of extra money that way.

Is it worth it?

You might not care about the user experience for others as long as you earn (you, however, should if you want to build a long-term income).

But even if that is the case, sharing URLs will probably still not be the most effective way to earn, in my opinion.

Personally, I believe it will hurt your reputation as the user-experience is very poor so people will stop trusting links from you.

Trust and quality are very important if you want to build a long-term business and you should, therefore, not underestimate this.

In addition to this, if you know how to generate traffic, you can earn a lot more through, for example, affiliate marketing where you in most cases can earn a lot more for your traffic.

And this is definitely important to consider so you use your time in the most efficient way.

Final verdict

Ouo.io can be a way to earn online – but it is definitely not a good option for all.

So let’s finish this review by summing up the pros and cons so you can get a better overview before deciding if it is for you or not:

• You have no control of the ads shown
• People might lose trust in links from you
• It is VERY difficult for people to ever get to the destination URL

Overall, you can earn a bit of extra cash by shortening and sharing links on Ouo.io. The good thing is that it is free to join and easy to get started.

However, the earning potential is extremely low, in my opinion. And in addition to this, I think the user experience for people clicking the links is terrible and this can hurt your reputation and your long-term income potential.

When it comes to making money online, you should always think long-term. For that reason, Ouo.io is NOT an option I can recommend as a way to earn online.

I just simply think there are better ways to invest your time if you want to make money online.

Are there more effective ways to earn online?

There are quite a lot of other more effective ways to earn online than Ouo.io, in my experience.

If you want to make real money online and potentially build a full-time income, this is definitely possible. It will take time and effort but it can really be worth it and it is possible to learn no matter your background.

Personally, I have had the most success with affiliate marketing and am now able to make a living from this that makes it possible for me to work from anywhere completely on my own terms.

So if you are interested in earning in a more effective way and are willing to put in the time it takes, you should definitely learn more about affiliate marketing.
