One particularly new player in this field is Bellame. The company is said to have gathered more than 10,000 partners within their first year.
But is Bellame a scam or is it one of the rising companies in its field?
This Bellame review will give you all the details about what the company offers its partners and if you can really earn.
While their products have certain claims, this is not a product review but rather a business opportunity review to help you decide if you should be investing your money in this new MLM company.

Take note that since the company was only launched in 2017, there is still no available income disclosure statement to help you know the realistic income you can get, though.
The beauty and skincare industry can be quite competitive so if you want to build your Bellame business, you have to tap the right market and really work hard to reach the monthly retail quota.
If you don’t have great sales and recruiting skills, you should probably go for other options instead.
What is Bellame and what does it offer?
Bellame was founded by Melissa and Scott Thompson and launched in 2017. It’s an MLM company featuring makeup and skincare products.
Melissa Thompson is no stranger to the MLM and beauty industry. She worked with Avon from 1999 until 2007 and then had a short stay at Belcorp before going back to Avon.
She also worked at Mana in 2014 then Stella and Dot in 2015. This gives her more than 20 years of experience from different MLM and beauty companies.
Her husband, Scott Thompson, is also the CEO and founder of digital marketing agency Astoria Company. Together, they created Bellame.
It’s a relatively new beauty company compared to industry veterans such as Avon, Mary Kay, Amway, Perfectly Posh, and NuSkin.
The company started by selling four products and have since grown to expand to makeup. They claim that all products are gluten and cruelty-free plus paraben and phthalate-free.
Bellame started with just four hydrating skincare products then expanded to makeup and other skincare.
The initial products they offered are:
- Hydrating Cleanser
- Hydrating Eye Cream
- Hydrating Serum
- Hydrating Moisturizer
Now you can also shop for moisturizing lip lacquer, makeup palette, moisturizing lipstick, makeup brushes, and a beauty sponge.
As you can see, the main market you will have with this business are women who are looking for luxury skincare and vegan makeup. I say luxury because the products are not exactly cheap.
But since they are an MLM company, they offer discounts to those who enroll as a member. So the next question is how much will it cost you to become part of Bellame?
How much do you need to invest?
There are three options if you want to become part of Bellame. This is depending on the benefits you want for your membership.
You can simply be a customer if you want to purchase products for yourself for full price. You don’t have to pay for anything except the products and the shipping fee. However, you also don’t get any benefits or discounts.
A Beauty Passport entitles you to 10% discount on all products.
Second, you can purchase their “Beauty Passport” that gives you a 10% discount on all orders and free shipping for any orders over $50. You also get a birthday gift.
To avail of the Beauty Passport, you just have to pay the $25 annual pass or enroll in the auto-replenishment program.
With the auto-replenishment program, you get your chosen Bellame products on 30, 45, 60, or 90 days interval.
Bellame will automatically charge you and ship you your orders in your chosen frequency. This is perfect for those who simply want to use the products at a discounted price.
In reality, not everybody who joins an MLM company wants to do the business. Some just want a discount on their products so the Beauty Passport is a good option, not all beauty MLM companies offer.
Now, if you want to use the products and earn an income, then you can be a Bellame partner.
As a Bellame partner, you can get up to 40% discount on your personal purchase. This is also where the MLM aspect of the company comes in.
As a partner, you have three starter kits to choose from:
- Digital Starter Kit worth $179 for only $49
- Business Influencer Starter Kit worth $327 for only $200
- CEO Starter Kit worth $720 for only $400
Choose your preferred starter kit to become a Bellame partner and earn commission plus bonuses.
Each starter kit comes with access to your own Bellame boutique website, training materials, brochures, and product samples. The amount of products varies depending on the starter kit.
By becoming a partner, you get discounts on your personal purchases, earn through commissions, and access to personalized training and support.
The price range for the business kits is actually good in my opinion since you get to choose what fits your budget.
Most MLM companies require you invest hundreds of dollars as your initial start-up cost. So it’s good news if you can start your MLM business for just a few hundred dollars.

Can you really earn with Bellame?
Before becoming a Bellame partner, you might ask yourself if Bellame is a scam or if it’s a legit opportunity.
That’s quite normal since most people who are in the MLM industry tend to lose money instead of earning.
And if you have little chance to earn but like the products then you’re better off with just buying the Beauty Passport to enjoy the discounts.
So to know if you can really earn Bellame, we have to look at its compensation plan.

A founding director is someone who joined the company when it was launched and have earned a rank by building their business.
Their website doesn’t give too much information on their compensation plan but luckily there are videos from the founding directors discussing how you can earn.
You start out as a partner, then you can move up into 7 other ranks namely Senior Partner, Executive Partner, Director, Senior Director, Executive Director, Diamond Director, and the highest rank being Platinum Executive Director.
As a Platinum Executive Director, you must recruit and maintain at least six directors, maintain a 500pts retail sales to customers and personal purchase, and $125,000 total monthly sales volume from your whole team.
As a partner, you have to maintain $300 of retail sales every 3 months to be able to receive commissions and bonuses. The risk of having this kind of quota is having a pile of unsold inventory if you don’t build up your sales skills.

Most are common MLM ways of earning that focuses on having new people enroll under you and having customers purchase products under you.
For example, you become a Senior Partner once you have sold $500 worth of products and have enrolled one Active Partner.
Therefore, your income will grow based on recruitment more than on the products you sell.
I personally do not prefer this way of earning since not everyone will be willing to become a member just to get a discount or have the sales skills to bring new people into their team constantly.
As of today, there is no income disclosure statement available for Bellame.
This is common for MLM companies that are relatively new but I prefer looking at a company’s income disclosure statement because it shows the realistic income potential of a member once they join.
Now, this is not saying that you cannot earn with this opportunity but you have to manage your expectations when joining.
The skincare and makeup industry is a tough market to tap especially if you’re against giant companies such as Avon, Olay, L’Oreal or Neutrogena.
So if you are new and not really great at selling and recruiting other people that are also great at selling, it will be hard to make it into a lucrative business.
Final Verdict
Bellame is definitely a legit MLM company that is relatively new and possibly growing since it was launched in 2017.
The founders have been in the industry for more than 20 years so you’re in good hands in terms of leadership.
However, just because it’s a legitimate company doesn’t automatically mean that it’s the right opportunity for you.
So I have summarized the pros and cons to give you a better overview before deciding whether you should become a Bellame partner or not.

Cons:
- Competitive beauty and skincare industry
- $300 quota for rolling three-month period
- No available income disclosure statement yet
Overall, Bellame is not a scam but a company best for those who want luxury skincare and have the right network to tap.
Since you will be selling skincare and makeup products, you have to expect a lot of competition both in the MLM industry and in the local market.
If you do decide to join Bellame, consider the team support you will be getting and the potential leads in your current network. It will still require you to put in a lot of hard work to grow your business into the income you really want.
If you feel that you won’t be able to sell the number of products needed for the monthly quota and to recruit more people that can do the same, then it would be best for you to look into other online opportunities instead, in my opinion.
