Social media jobs can be a great way to earn online and work on your own terms.
There are many platforms that offer positions that allow this – one of them is socialsalesrep.com.
But is Social Sales Rep a scam or a legit opportunity to earn online?
This is something you need to know before joining any online platform today, as there, unfortunately, are many scams.
Let me reveal right away that Social Sales Rep has both some positive aspects, but it definitely also has some negative aspects and it might not be completely clear what you actually get if you do not have a lot of experience working online.
Therefore, I will in this Social Sales Rep review, give you all the details about what you can really expect so you know what you are getting into if you join and what it takes to succeed with Social Sales Rep.
Social Sales Rep in a Glipmse
Summary
Social Sales Rep shows you a real way to make money online and you will get access to some real tools and training.
It is, however, not very clear what you actually get. You, for example, need to know that it will NOT be a super fast to earn if you are a beginner. If you already have an audience, it can be a way to earn but if not, you should not expect great results.
Also, you have no idea who is behind the platform and you are not told you have to pay until AFTER you have given your email address.
So overall it is not, a very transparent program and as a beginner, it will not be a good option, in my opinion.
What is Social Sales Rep and what does it offer?
At first, it might not be completely clear what socialsalesrep.com offers.
I thought it was some kind of freelance portal where you can find social media jobs as it says it is currently accepting applications.
So it might look like it is similar to a freelance portal like Fiverr or Upwork. But it is not the same at all.
After looking closer at the website and doing further research, it became clear that it is not as such offering job opportunities or social media freelance jobs.
On the website, it, for example, explains that there are many companies that pay internet users to help get the word out about their products.
And that Social Sales Rep is a platform that teaches you how to connect with these companies and use social media to profit from this.
As I have quite a lot of experience online, I could kind of figure out what that means and my further research proved me right.
But if you do not have a lot of online working experience it might not be clear what this actually means and what it takes to succeed with Social Sales Rep.
So what it means is that Social Sales Rep is a training platform where you will get access to promoting products through affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is a legit way of making money online where you can promote companies’ products and earn a commission if people you promote it to end up buying through your link.
So what you will actually be doing is to work with affiliate marketing through social media.
So Social Sales Rep does not as such offer you jobs you can start getting paid for right away but will show you some ways to use social media to make money through affiliate marketing.
In theory, this is great and I love affiliate marketing myself and that is how I make a full-time income online.
But before you rush off to join Social Sales Rep there are some important things you need to consider – there are both some positive and negative aspects.
So let’s go over both below.
What I like about Social Sales Rep
I just want to make it clear that these pros and cons of Social Sales Rep are based on my personal opinion and experience with internet marketing.
So do not as such take them as facts but as opinions, you can take into consideration to make an informed choice about Social Sales Rep.
With that said, let me explain a couple of things I like about it and the reasons for this.
Reason 1 – It is a real way to make money online
Based on my research I have found out what you will get inside Social Sales Rep is access to ebooks within many different topics.
You can see a lot of these topics even before you join on socialsalesrep.com itself.
You can then choose the topics you like and will then learn to rebrand the ebook with among other things your own affiliate link so you can earn.
When you then share these books and people click the links, you will earn commissions if they end up buying.
Making money like this is a real way of earning. And I like that it actually shows a real way.
But even though affiliate marketing is real and a great way to earn online if you do it right, there are some aspects of the methods on Social Sales Rep I do not think are the best (more about that later).
But for now, you need to know that affiliate marketing is a 100% real and legit way to make money online.
Reason 2 – It has training
Once you are inside Social Sales Rep there will be some training showing you how to use their methods to earn.
Let me just reveal that I have not actually gone through the training so the purpose of this review is not to go in-depth with the actual training.
The reason I created this review was that even though Social Sales Rep shows a real way to make money and it has some training that can help you get started, there are many aspects I do not think are clear.
And I wanted to highlight these and the general affiliate marketing opportunities online so you are able to make an informed decision and not only trust the reviews that get paid a commission to promote Social Sales Rep.
So from what I have learned in my research, you will get access to some real training inside Social Sales Rep. It is not a huge amount and it is fairly basic, but the concept of Social Sales Rep is also fairly basic.
Nonetheless, I like that you actually get some training that can be useful contrary to many other online programs that are useless once you have joined.

What I do NOT like about Social Sales Rep
From the above, you can see Social Sales Rep definitely has some potential.
But I must also say that there are quite a lot of things about the platform that concerns me. What concerns me the most is that you might not know what you are getting into.
So let me explain some important aspects to take seriously into consideration before joining and the reasons you need to consider these.
Reason 1 – It costs money
One aspect I do not like about Social Sales Rep is that it, at first, just looks like a job portal you can join by giving your email.
Not until after you have given your email, you are taken to a sales page where you can also see there will be a fee for joining.
It is only $27, but there will also be some additional upgrades you can get after joining.
I do not have a problem with paying for products and training online – that is, of course, only fair.
What I do not like is that it is not very clear this is how it works when you first come to their website. It looks like it is just a great job platform for social media jobs.
Then after you have read everything and decide you want to join and give your email, you will be told there is a price. And then there will be additional upsells after you join.
I am not saying it cannot be worth it but you just need to be aware that there will be a cost – because that is not clear when you first come to the site.
Reason 2 – It is not transparent about what you get
I think affiliate marketing is great but it is, in my opinion, not at all clear this is what you will get involved with before you join Social Sales Rep.
In the FAQ section you can, for example, see this description:
Here it just says that all you need to do is spread the word about the proven information products in their portfolio. You simply spread the word in your existing social circles. The word spreads worldwide, and you get paid every time a sale results from your efforts.
If you do not have much online working experience, this does not really tell you much and you basically have no idea what you are getting into
Also, it makes it sounds so simple and like a very easy way to make money online.
But in reality, affiliate marketing requires a bit more to succeed and the system has some flaws that can make it difficult to succeed depending on your previous experience.
This leads me to the next reason I think you should think twice before getting Social Sales Rep.
Reason 3 – Not for beginners
From looking at the sales page of socialsalesrep.com, it might look like it is an extremely easy way to make money online.
The fact is that making money through affiliate marketing and social media takes a bit more than just sharing ebooks with affiliate links.
First of all, if you already have a huge following and a lot of contacts, it can work. Then you will have someone to share with.
But if you do not have a big following, you first have to build this.
Also, even though there might be people opening the ebook, it will take A LOT of people to open it before you will get a good amount of people actually also clicking the links in the ebook and buying.
So even though it sounds extremely easy, it is not that easy if you are a beginner.
You will quickly realize that when it comes to making money online, there is no magic shortcut where you can just do a few clicks and then the money comes rolling in.
It is definitely possible to learn to make money online no matter your previous experience. But to build a long-term income, you need to invest some time and work to make it happen.
You can earn with Social Sales Rep but unless you already have a lot of experience and a lot of followers, you should be aware that you money will not just automatically start flowing into your account.
Reason 4 – No info about the owner
Something I find very important when you want to learn to make money online is that you know who you are learning from.
You need to be able to see their past history so you can assess the quality of previous products and their own results online.
On Social Sales Rep there is, however, no info about who is behind.
When you go to the about section, all you can see is that it supposedly is a leading innovator in the field of digital products.
Then there is a lot of other very vague and general information about the company and some stock photos.
There are no names of the people starting it, no info about when it started, no images of the employees, and no info about where the company is located.
To me, it is always a red flag when the about section is so general and vague.
If somebody wants to teach you how to make money online using their system, you at least deserve to know who you are, right?
This is definitely an aspect I do not like.
Reason 5 – You cannot freely choose products you want to promote
When working with affiliate marketing it is, in my opinion, very important to do what I call honest affiliate marketing to set yourself up for long-term success and also be able to sleep well at night.
This is not necessarily possible with Social Sales Rep.
Let me explain: It will teach you how to use ClickBank to find products and get affiliate links.
ClickBank definitely has a lot of great products you can promote BUT it also has a lot of really poor products, in my opinion.
The problem with Social Sales Rep is that you will get access to premade ebooks and the products you are going to be promoting will already be selected for you.
This means you cannot choose the exact products yourself. This means you might end up recommending products you have no idea about and that might be very poor and it can end up wasting other peoples’ money.
So if you are going to use this method and Social Sales Rep, then make sure to look carefully into the products you are going to promote so you know they are worth it.
If not, you can end up promoting low-quality products and cost other people money – not really a way to build a long-term business and sleep well at night.
Reason 6 – The poor offers you start receiving via email
Once you have given your email to Social Sales Rep, they will start sending you offers about ways to make money online.
The first day I, for example, received an email promoting the Viral Cash App I have reviewed before. And it is a program I clearly recommend NOT to join.
They are promoting this as a fast way to get rick online and say it is free – this is NOT the case. In fact, it is a program where you can end up spending a lot of money because you are promised to get rich fast. But the reality is just that there is no automatic way to become rich online overnight.
That they are promoting get-rich-quick systems like this, in my opinion, shows that the platform really does not care about its users. They will promote whatever they can earn commissions by promoting.
I had actually given Social Sales Rep a little higher rating but when I saw they are willing to promote offers like this and use the usual “you are crazy if you do not want to get rich like this” talk, then I completely lose all trust.
Final verdict – legit or scam?
So let me make it clear that Social Sales Rep is not a scam as you get access to some training, free ebooks, and a real way to earn online.
But this does not mean it is a good choice, in my opinion. There are many aspects to consider to find out if it is for you or not.
To give you a better overview before making up your mind, let’s finish this review by summing up the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision based on this.
Pros:
- Gives access to some training
- Shows a real way to make money online
- 60-day money-back guarantee
Cons:
- You cannot see there is a cost until after giving your email
- Not clear what it really offers
- No info about who is behind the site
- Not a good way to earn for beginners
- You cannot freely choose the products you want to promote
- They promote get-rich-quick systems to you via email after you join
Overall, Social Sales Rep could work and it can make you money.
But if you are a beginner, it is definitely not the best way, in my opinion. Even though it sounds like it, it is not a fast way to see big money flowing into your account.
That is, in general, not how internet marketing works.
You have to be willing to put in some time and effort to succeed – then it is definitely possible but it will not happen overnight.
But Social Sales Rep will start sending you emails with offers that claim you can become rich online very fast by joining different programs – this is just a way for themselves to make money with affiliate marketing but not focused on giving you good advise, in my opinion. This is a clear deal breaker and break of trust for me.
Learn the best way to make money like this!
I hope this review has given you a good overview of what you really get with Social Sales Rep so you can make an informed decision based on this.
As mentioned, affiliate marketing is definitely a real way to earn online – I am making a full-time income online like this myself.
But to really make it work, you need to learn the skills to build up a real audience. This is something anyone can learn, but you need to be aware that it will take a little time and effort and no system will automatically be able to make you successful overnight.
