AdShrink.it Review – Is It a Way to Earn (Yes, BUT….)

AdShrink.it is a platform that supposedly makes it possible to earn just by shortening URLs and sharing them online.

But is AdShrink a scam or really a way to earn?

Let me just reveal right away that you can earn as a member BUT there are some important things to consider before starting to use the platform.

In fact, if you do not know exactly what you are doing, it can end up hurting your long-term chances of making money online, in my opinion.

This AdShrink.it review will give you an inside look and show you exactly what to be aware of so you can find out if it is the right way for you to earn or not.

What is AdShrink.it and what does it offer?

AdShrink.it is a platform that makes it possible for you to earn by shortening links and sharing these online.

In one way it is a very simple concept and easy to get started with and it is very similar to a platform like Adfly, if you have heard about this.

But it is also a bit more complicated when you dig deeper and you might not spot this right away if you are fairly new to online marketing and making money online.

So let me below go over how it works and then later also show you some things you seriously have to consider to find out if this really is the best way for you to earn.

Option 1 – Shorten and share links

So the main way to earn as a member of AdShrink is to use their URL shortener.

You can shorten any URL and it does not have to be to your own website. It can be any URL you want to share online.

It is very simple and easy. You just simply paste the URL you want to share into the shortener as you can see in the image above.

Then you click “shrink” and you will get a URL you can share.

You can then share this link anywhere you like. It can be on a website, social media, YouTube channel, and more.

The idea is then that when people click this link to visit the URL you shortened, you will earn.

You will be able to earn because AdShrink has advertisers and when people click your link, they will first be taken to a screen with a big ad before they are taken to the URL you send them to.

To be able to see the ad they have to solve a captcha and they can then click the “skip” button in the top right corner to continue to the URL.

However, even though this does not take long for the person, it can be quite inconvenient in my opinion. Because after clicking skip, I have experienced that another new screen pops up.

In that one, I had to download an add-on for my browser. This window could be closed down but it was not that obvious.

In addition to this, you do not have a say about what type of ad people will see.

But I will go into this a bit more later in the considerations you need to have before starting to use AdShrink. Let’s for now focus on the earning methods as there is one more way you can earn on AdShrink.

Option 2 – Invite others to join AdShrink

AdShrink.it also has a referral program so you can make extra money by inviting other people to join and use the platform.

So if someone joins through your invitation link, you will earn a commission whenever they earn.

You will get 20% of what they earn – it will not affect their earnings but will be paid by AdShrink as thanks for having invited someone else.

20% is actually pretty good for a link shortener referral program. A platform like Linkvertise in comparison only offers 5%.

But whether this is a good way to earn or not comes down to whether you think this is actually a great platform. If not, you should obviously not recommend it to others.

And to see how much you would be able to earn in commissions, we also need to look into the overall earning opportunities on AdShrink as this will show you how much you can earn by sharing links yourself as well as how much you can potentially earn by inviting others.

How much can you make with AdShrink?

At first, it might seem like a very easy way to make money to just shorten some URLs and then share them.

But you need to also consider how much you will earn per person that clicks your URLs.

According to AdShrink.it they are they offer the highest CPM (pay per 1,000 clicks) in the world compared to other similar platforms.

However, I have seen several platforms claiming the same so this does not necessarily mean a lot. What you need to look at is what this means you will get paid in cash so you can see if you find it worth it.

What I like about AdShrink is that they very clearly state the exact rates you will get depending on the traffic you send.

Your earnings will depend on the country the traffic you send will come from.

In the image above you can see how much you would get for sending 1,000 visitors to a link from the top-paying countries.

The highest you can earn is $7.5 per 1,000 visits if they come from the US. This then goes all the way down to less than $1.8 per 1,000 clicks.

So your earning potential will greatly be affected by the countries you send traffic from.

And it is quite a lot of traffic you have to send to make any real money but I will go into more details about this aspect a little later in this review.

How will you get paid?

Before starting to earn on any platform online, it is, of course, also important to know how you can get your earnings out.

AdShrink offers a quite convenient payout method, in my opinion. You can get your earnings out through PayPal.

The payout will automatically be processed at the beginning of each month if you have earned at least $10.

They mention in the FAQ section that in case you live in a country where PayPal is not available, you can still join and earn on the platform. In cases like that, you can get paid in Bitcoin instead.

So no matter where you live it should be possible to get your earnings out.

2 BIG Reasons it might NOT be worth it

As you can see, it is possible to earn on AdShrink.it. But based on my experience as someone making a full-time income online, it might NOT be the best way to earn by sending traffic.

There are mainly two reasons for this and I will explain these below so you can take these into consideration before investing any time.

Consideration 1 – It can hurt your long-term earning potential.

When people start making money online, they are often so focused on quick ways to earn that they forget the long-term perspectives.

To build a real sustainable income online takes some time and effort but it can also give tremendous freedom – both personally and financially.

But to achieve this, you need to build trust with your audience and this is where I think AdShrink.it can give you problems if you share links you have shortened there.

I have shown earlier how people are taken to ads before they get to the URL you send them to. But in addition to the ad, there will also be another screen they have to go through with a lot of info.

Here they again have to solve a captcha and they are then finally taken to the destination URL.

Just think about how you would feel if someone shared a link with you and told you to check it out and was then taken to several pop-up screens with different ads.

You would probably find it a bit spammy, right? I definitely would and would likely never get to the destination URL as I would give up before.

You can, of course, argue that it does not really matter as you will get paid as long as people click your links.

But that is a very shortsighted way to create an online business and it will never be possible to really grow a business like this.

If people stop trusting your links, you will constantly have to share your link new places and will never have long-term followers which is what can really make an income grow.

And in addition to the ads, you also have to consider that you have no control over what ads are shown when people click a link you have shared.

When I tested, I was taken to some quite inappropriate ads that I definitely would not want my website or business to be connected with.

Not all ads are like that but there are no guarantees and this can really hurt your reputation and people’s trust in you.

This is something you seriously have to consider if you wish to build a real online income and not just make a few dollars here and now.

Consideration 2 – The low pay

It might seem like it is easy to earn as a member of AdShrink – but getting clicks to links is really not that easy.

Getting 1,000 clicks to a link is quite a lot and will take some effort – and the maximum you can earn for this is $7.5 and that is only if all the visits are from the US.

If they are not from the US, you will earn a lot less.

But no matter what, getting this little money for that many visits is really not a good way to monetize traffic online.

If you are able to generate that kind of traffic, you will be able to earn a lot more through affiliate marketing.

So overall, monetizing links through a URL shortener is really not an effective use of time, in my opinion. Especially not if you are serious about wanting to create a real online income you can make a living from.

Final verdict

Let me just make it clear that you can earn by shortening links on AdShrink.it.

But it is not necessarily the best use of time depending on your income goals. So let’s finish this review by summing up the pros and cons so you can get a better overview before deciding if it is for you or not.

Pros:

• Free to join
• All countries can join

Cons:

• Very low earning potential
• You have no control of the ads shown (some of them can be inappropriate)
• People might stop trusting your links
• Ineffective use of time

Even though it is possible to earn on AdShrink, it is really not a way of earning I can recommend.

The reason for this is that I think it can hurt your chances of building a real sustainable income online as people might stop trusting links from you when they are taken to several pop-up ads where some of them might even have inappropriate content.

In addition to this, if you are able to generate traffic enough to just earn a bit on AdShrink.it, you would be able to earn a lot more if you put your time into other ways of earning online, in my experience.

Therefore, it is NOT a way of earning I can recommend.

Are there more effective ways to earn online?

There are quite a lot of other more effective ways to earn online than AdShrink, in my experience.

If you want to make real money online and potentially build a full-time income, this is definitely possible. It will take time and effort but it can really be worth it and it is possible to learn no matter your background.

Personally, I have had the most success with affiliate marketing and am now able to make a living from this that makes it possible for me to work from anywhere completely on my own terms.

So if you are interested in earning in a more effective way and are willing to put in the time it takes, you should definitely learn more about affiliate marketing.
